Captain Guy Adam
Guy Adam began his career as a professional seaman graduating from cadet to Ship’s Master while serving as Captain of vessels managed by Southern Line of Kenya and Mahe Shipping Co Ltd of Seychelles. He is currently Chairman of Corvina, 7° South Ltd and Bunson Travel (Seychelles) Ltd. He has been the driving force behind the Corvina group’s ventures in 5-star tourism overseeing the conceptualization, construction and opening of Lemuria Resort on Praslin and Ephelia Resort on Mahe.
Jean Weeling-Lee holds a Masters in Economics and began his career in 1984 as an economist with the Central Bank of Seychelles, rising to Director-General of Research before being promoted to General Manager on January
1, 1993. He joined the private sector in 1995 and is currently Managing Director of Corvina Investment Company Limited and a director of subsidiaries, including Mahe Shipping Co Ltd and Corvina Management Services Ltd. He is also a director of companies including Seychelles Breweries Ltd, Le Refuge du Pecheur Ltd, Port Launay Resort Ltd, Barclays Bank (Seychelles) Ltd and Air Seychelles Ltd.
Gerry Adam began his career in 1974 as an Engineering Cadet Officer with Unicorn Lines and was trained both on shore and at sea and worked his way through the various ranks and obtained his Marine Engineer Class 1 Certificate of Competency in 1983. He served as Chief Engineer on several of the company’s vessels from 1983 to 1987. He joined Mahe Shipping Company in 1988 as Shipping Manager and was appointed as Managing Director in 1994 and Chairman in 2018. He is a director of Corvina Investment Co Ltd also serves as director on various other boards (8 in all) including Landmarine Limited and Societe Seychelloise de Navigation Ltd.
Gitanne Gendron joined Mahe Shipping Co Ltd shortly after formation of the company in 1969 and remains a key member of staff to this day. She had previously lived and worked on a number of the outer islands including Diego Garcia, Agalega, Alphonse and Farquhar. She became a director of Mahe Shipping in 1984, when a management buyout of overseas shareholders took place. In addition to Mahe Shipping and Corvina she also serves as a director of a number of subsidiaries including 7° South Ltd, Bunson Travel (Seychelles) Ltd, Liquid Air (Seychelles) Ltd, Mahe Investments Ltd, Presafe Services and Victoria Properties and Investment Ltd.
Mariangela Ricci holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (John Cabot University, Rome, Italy) as well as an Associate of Arts Degree in History. She is naturalized in Seychelles and has been a director of Corvina since February 2012. She also serves as a director of a number of group companies including Corvina Management Services Ltd, Le Refuge du Pecheur Ltd and Port Launay Resort Ltd. Prior to her involvement with the Corvina group, she has worked in various positions in companies based in Rome and London dealing mostly in the tourism and marketing sector.
Glenny Savy graduated in Economics at the University of Merdoch (Australia). He is Chief Executive Officer of the Islands Development Company (IDC) and has pioneered tourism development in several IDC islands including Alphonse, Desroches and Silhouette. He serves as a director on the Boards of a number of other Corvina group companies including Victoria Properties and Investment Ltd and Societe Seychelloise de Navigation Ltd. He has also served as Chairman of the Seychelles Fishing Authority.
Adrian Skerrett holds a degree in Economics and is a Chartered Management Accountant. He was born in UK, resident in Seychelles since 1980 and naturalised since 1994. He is a Director of Corvina Investment Co Ltd and ten other Corvina group companies, including Chairman of Silhouette Cruises Ltd, Victoria Properties & Investment Co Ltd, Liquid Air Seychelles) Ltd, Presafe Services Ltd and Mahe Investments Ltd. He is also an author of a number of books about Seychelles and its natural history and is a trustee of several environmental NGOs including serving as Chairman of Island Conservation Society.
